Lawrence Paul Campbell Sr.

Larry Campbell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 29th, 2023, at the age of 74. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born on July 9th, 1949, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Larry was the cherished son of Carlisle and Helen Campbell. He was a proud graduate of Pennsbury High School, class of 1967, where he made lifelong friends and laid the foundation for a successful future.

In 1971, Larry graduated from Temple University with a degree in Business Administration, a milestone that marked the beginning of a fruitful career. He worked diligently for US Steel in Sheet and Tin, where he excelled as a supervisor. Later, he joined the State of New Jersey's Office of Information Technology (OIT), contributing his skills and expertise until his well-deserved retirement on October 1st 2014.

Larry's love story with his wife Linda was one for the ages. They first met dancing to Jerry Blavat at an Edgely Firehall dance in February of 1966 and built a beautiful life together over the next 52 years of marriage. Linda was not only his partner but his best friend, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Larry will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: his adoring wife, Linda; his loving children Lawrence and Jennifer; his dear daughter-in-law Amanda and son-in-law Kelvin; and his precious grandchildren Samantha, Jessica, Derrick, and Lydia. He is also survived by his brothers William and James. Larry was preceded in death by his sister Patricia.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry had a zest for life that extended to his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, Flyers and the Temple Owls. His love for music brought joy to many, and he cherished moments spent at Seaside Heights, NJ, where he would relax and soak in the beauty of the shore.

One of Larry's greatest pleasures was spending quality time with his grandchildren. They shared countless laughs and smiles while playing Harpoon Lagoon at the Jersey shore, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

As we bid farewell to Larry Campbell, let us remember the warmth of his smile, the kindness in his heart, and the love he shared with each and every one of us. His legacy will continue to live on, and he will forever remain an inspiration to us all.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Larry's life will be held on August 3rd at 9:30 AM-11:30 AM at Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.

The Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Newtown Cemetery, 600 Newtown Yardley Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
