Kevin was born in Johnstown, PA and moved to Levittown, PA as a baby with his parents, where he would grow up and start a life of his own.
Growing up he found his love of firefighting at a very young age. He joined Levittown Fire Company #1 where he devoted his time to his community as a first responder. His dedication and commitment eventually earned him the rank of Captain. He also served his community as fire police. Eventually he retired from firefighting and has been a “life member” until his passing.
Kevin was married in 1982 to Barbara. Within a few years they were blessed with two sons, Chris in 1983 and Andrew in 1985. They lived a great life together but parted ways in 1989.
In 1991, he married Lisa. He was once again blessed with two more sons, Kevin Alan in 1994, then Michael in 1997.
In 2014, he would find, Elizabeth “Joy”, get married and spend the rest of his life with her. He was a dedicated father and husband. In 2007 he was overjoyed to earn the title of grandfather for the first time. Through the next several years he became a grandfather 3 more times.
Kevin was passionate about everything in his life from firefighting to photography, horses, violin, and painting, living every day to the fullest, treasuring all life blessed him with.
He is predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Donna Lucas. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Lucas; his four sons, Chris and girlfriend Jess, Andrew and fiancé Alicia, Kevin, and Michael and fiancé Hannah. He is also survived by Elizabeth’s five kids, Daniel, Lillian, Mitchell, Ruth, and Timothy. Lastly, he is survived by his grandchildren Brayden, Mackenzie, Noah, and Sophia. He was fortunate enough to be survived by his very dear and lifelong friends, Jim and Melissa Sheppard.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
