Joseph E. McFadden, Sr., of Levittown died on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Chandler Hall at the age of 90. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. McFadden was raised in Merchantville, NJ. He moved to the Goldenridge section of Levittown as an original homeowner in 1954 where he lived until moving to Tullytown Boro 16 years ago. He was a delivery "milk man" with Abbotts and Sealtest dairies in Philadelphia for many years until retiring. Mr. McFadden was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #960. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially of the Eagles, but his true love in life was being with his family. Mr. McFadden was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte M. McFadden and the father of the late Sandra McDonald. He is survived by his loving children Joseph E.. Jr. and his wife JoAnn McFadden of Levittown, Barbara Henrich of Bristol, Candace Miller and her companion Matt Pirolli of Tullytown, Manda and her husband Greg Bersani of Bristol, Chandra and her husband Greg Ziminski of Edgely and Andrea and her husband Ron Hehlinger of Langhorne. He will also be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are also invited to join a funeral procession which will be forming at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. for interment in Beverly National Cemetery.
