Joann K. Garrison

Joann K. Garrison passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at her home in Levittown, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.Born in Freeburg, PA, has resided in Levittown since 1956. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown. Joann worked in the medical field as a Medical Secretary.Joann was passionate about her family, holiday gatherings; and family pets.Mrs. Garrison was predeceased by her great granddaughter, Molly Anastasia Edwards and her parents, Ruby (Diehl) and Russell E. Klinger.Beloved wife of George M. Garrison, Jr. she is the loving mother of Kathy G. Stone; Susan G. Smyth (Michael) and Michael Garrison (John). She is the devoted grandmother of Kelly Edwards (Sean); Kyle Smyth (Marissa); Katey O. Smyth; Jonathan, Jason and Jordan Stone; proud great grandmother of Delaney Edwards; and sister of Claire J. Chamberlain of Levittown, and Frederick Klinger (Rose) of Palmetto, Florida.Mrs. Garrison will also be sadly missed by her adopted son, Dave Bennett (thanks for the first dance); sister-in-law, Charlotte Garrison (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Metkus, Ronnie and his staff and also Compassionate Care Hospice for the care and concern given to their beloved wife, mother and grandmother.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her service will be held at 12 noon.
