Janet Marie Lynch of Bensalem received her wings on Friday, May 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family after an almost decade long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 58. Janet was born in Trenton, NJ and attended St. Michael the Archangel school and Bishop Conwell High School graduating in 1975. Daughter of Theresa and the late Thomas Fochtman, Janet was the oldest of 13 children and was preceded in death by her brothers Anthony and Richard and her sister Margaret. She is survived by her siblings Bernadette, Leo (Liz), Ed (Tammy), Frank (Debbie), Teresa, Lester (Michelle), Debbie, Linda. Lisa and their families. Janet was the beloved wife of Jerry Lynch Sr. for 39 years and was the loving mother of four boys Jerry (Kim), Timothy (Janelle), Tom (Lillian) and Billy. She was the devoted grandmother of 11. Daughter-in-law of the late Jerry (Dot) and Betty (Lou), Janet was the sister-in-law of Cindy (Ray), Judy, Gene (Amy), Cathy (Matt), Greg, Debbie (Scott) and the late Jimmy Sweeney and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was a homemaker and professional mom and mom mom. Over the years she worked at McCory's Five and Dime, Maryanne Shop and Strawbridge's. Janet loved everyone she met. Her true passion was her family and friends and everyone was always welcome in her home at any time. She enjoyed traveling locally and visiting the Poconos was always special to her. A special thank you goes to the Gyni Girls Club who gave her inspiration throughout her battle. When first diagnosed, she was told she had a year and a half to live and when Janet got in the car she said we'll see about that, I have grandkids to see. Thank you Mom for your strength, your wisdom, your courage, compassion, dignity, respect and unconditional love. Your light and your energy will ripple through eternity forever and ever, Amen. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment is private.
