James P. Phillips, of Lindenwold, NJ, formerly of Levittown, died on Thursday, April 15, 2010. He was 55. Born in Brooklyn, NY, James was a long time resident of Levittown before moving to New Jersey 5 years ago. He was employed with Boardman Fire Extinguisher Company in Collingswood, NJ for several years. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam and the first Gulf War retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He was a computer enthusiast who also enjoyed photography and playing his guitar. James was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Lamanna) Phillips. He was the loving father of Audrey Jean and Abigail Rose Phillips both of Hampton, Virginia. He was the brother of Raymond D. Phillips of Levittown, John T. and his wife Mary Phillips of Reno, NV, Paul and his wife Maureen Phillips of Levittown, Mary Ellen and her husband Roy Castle of Quarryville, PA, Carol Anne and her husband John Smith, Vincent Phillips and Kathleen and her husband Chris Barry all of Levittown. He will also be sadly missed by his aunt Claire Aker of Sicklerville, NJ and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
