Edward J. Loncosky

Edward J. Loncosky Sr., a 92-year-old resident of Levittown, passed away at his home on August 24, 2016 due to natural causes. He was born to Joseph Loncosky and Edna Karycki in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania.Edward served his country during WWII as a Liuetanant in the Merchant Marine. He attended school at Kings Point Academy and Ft. Trumbull in New London, Ct.In earlier years Edward worked as a mechanical engineer at Fleetwing. He later worked as a General Foreman for Rohm and Haas for thirty years, as well as A&A Manufacturing Inc. as an advisor.Ed will be remembered as a person dedicated to his loving wife of 71 plus years.Fishing was his main interest and hobby. He had the best vegetable garden in the area. He also loved construction and built two houses in his lifetime. One in which he and his loving wife have resided in for 16 years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and enjoyed boating in Tuckerton, NJ , and trips to the casino.He is survived by his wife, Aletha (Margari) Loncosky; daughter Michalena Bennett (Brian): sons Robert and Joseph (Xiaowei); and brothers, Chet and John (Mary Alice) Loncosky.Ed will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Laura Miller (Mark), Amy Loncosky, Courtney Klossner (Robert), Dana Zamparelli (Nicholas) and Jamie Loncosky (Stephen Welch); great grandchildren, Madison Mower, Mark Miller, Vincent and Lorenzo Zamparelli and Juliet Welch; and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded by his mother and father, Joseph and Edna; son Edward Jr. ; daughter Maria Hughes; and grandson Edward III.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. Ed EulogyEd was my Father but he was also Father to four more: Edward, Joe, Maria and Miki.He always knew what he wanted and made sure to tell people that.We all have memories of Ed, I want to share some of mine with you today.My dad went to Montauk New York to fish for cod. During the trip he caught a 68 poundCod fish which is a state record. The captain called into the marina stating a very largeCod was caught. When the boat pulled in they saw the newspaper people there. Theyweighed the cod in and it was a state record.They asked my dad "what did you catch it on?" The teaser that he was, he told the reporters that it was a Green Pollock Teaser. Knowing my dad when I read this story in the paper I asked him "What lure is this?" He said it was a silver spoon with a green tubeover it with a tail. Then I realized why it was called a Green Pollock Teaser because hehad made it himself. So I said lets go.He started playing one of his favorite games called Buffalo. Right away he startedwinning playing max. Next thing I see is a big crowd behind him. He was having a great time drinking rum and coke and winning. He decided to stop at $600.00. On the way outHe wanted to stop at Willa Wonka another favorite of his. Within minutes he hit a $1600.00 jackpot. He was smiling ear to ear. Happiest person in a wheelchair at the Casino.He is in heaven fishing with his son Edward, Daughter Maria and Grandson, Eddy.Thank you very much.
