David Murphy, of Levittown, died suddenly on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Aria Health Bucks County. He was 53. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mr. Murphy resided in Rochester, NY for several years before moving to Levittown 10 years ago. He became a proud United States citizen last year. He was employed with RHR Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Bristol for the past 5 years. Mr. Murphy was a member of St. Joseph the Worker parish, the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Trenton, NJ and the Falls Township Rifle & Pistol Association. He loved Manchester United, golfing and traveling with his wife. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Murphy was the devoted husband of Theresa A. (Fahy) Murphy for 14 years. He was the loving brother of Patricia and Olly Mordaunt of Auckland, New Zealand, Tom and Liz Murphy of Rosslare, Ireland, Stephanie and the late Paul Campion of Dublin, Ireland, Greg and Josie Miller of Columbus, Ohio and John and Kathleen Murphy of Dublin, Ireland. He was the beloved son-in-law of George and Patricia Fahy and the brother-in-law of Danny and Elizabeth Fahy. He was also a devoted uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to all. Family and friends are invited to call Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Rd., Fallsington followed by Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There are no calling hours on Tuesday prior to the Mass.
