Charles E. "Charley" Wright, Sr. of Yardley, formerly of Levittown died peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. He was 92.Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Wright has been a recent resident of Yardley but was an original homeowner in Levittown for nearly 60 years.He was an Army Air Corps veteran of Word War II serving in England with the 8th Air Force 100th Bomb Group.Along with his late wife, Olive, Charles was the owner and operator of Wright's Mobil in Trenton, Fairless Hills and Neshaminy.While raising his family in the 1960's, he served as a Boy Scout leader with Troop 106.He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of all Philly sports teams. Later in life he became an avid reader.Mr. Wright was the beloved husband of the late Olive A. Wright (Vanderbergh). They were married for 59 years at the time of her passing. He was the loving father of Charles E. Wright, Jr. (Robin) of Edgely, Cynthia W. Moskow (Steven) of Yardley and Judith F. Zeek of Levittown.He was the devoted grandfather of Lisa, Rich, Michael, Scott, Chris and Stephanie and the great grandfather of Aric, Ava, Patrick, Molly, Kate, Colin, Sinjin, Mikela and Bryan.He will also be deeply missed by his companion Ellie Raphun as well as many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, 7 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030 where friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
