Carmen J. DiSpirito passed away suddenly on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the age of 88.Born in Hazleton, Mr. DiSpirito was an original homeowner in Levittown and a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish.Before his retirement, Mr. DiSpirito was a manager with Bell of Pennsylvania/Verizon for 30 years.He was a proud US Marine Corps Korean War veteran.Carmen loved to paint and was a former President of the Bucks County Artist Association. He also enjoyed tinkering around the house.He loved spending the summers at his home in Ventnor, NJ. A professional musician for 50 years, Carmen taught music lessons for piano, guitar, accordion and stand up bass. In his earlier years he was a member in a Jazz band.Carmen enjoyed socializing, happy hour with friends and going out to dinner.Beloved husband of late Arlene M. (Montone), Mr. DiSpirito is the loving father of Catherine Ann DePalo, Anthony N. DiSpirito and Neil J. DiSpirito (Destiny) and the devoted grandfather of Brian Glessner. He is the brother of Marie Perini (late Joe) and brother-in-law of Nancy Starrick (late Stanley). He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins.Mr. DiSpirito was predeceased by his parents, Angeline (Danzi) and Anthony DiSpirito and his in-laws, Neil and Amelia Montone.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 8:30 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to a Prayer Service at precisely 11:30, Friday, October 26, 2018, in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PA. Entombment will follow.
