Bobby Ornett Ramsey passed away peacefully at home in Feasterville, PA where he lived with his daughter and son-in-law. He was 91 years old. Originally from Columbus, Mississippi and prior to moving to Feasterville, he resided in Bensalem with his wife and family for over 65 years.
Bobby was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He served on the USS Dixie AD-14 and on the USS Macon CA-132 during the Korean War.
During his working years, Bobby was a welder at Badenhousen/Riley Stoker Corporation, Bensalem, for many years until they closed and then Schutte Koerting/Ametek, Bensalem and Huntingdon Valley, until he retired. During his retirement years, he worked as a custodian for the Bensalem Township School District.
The son of the late Mose Frank and Essie Mae Ramsey, Bobby was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy (nee Balchunis); he is survived by their children Frances Borman, Robert (Veronika), Dolores Fow and Kathleen Daino (Steven); grandchildren - Christine Borman (Jeff Lister), William Borman (Jacqueline), Richard Borman (April), Robert Borman (Sarah Schaffer), Kyle Yochum (Allyson), Robert W. Yochum (Amy), Heather Barner (Joseph), Tim Yochum (Carol), Beate Bunting, Michele Greer (Gregory Diedrich), Kristen Mauro (Phil), Ashley Fow Drapeau (David), Michael Fow (Rachel), Jesse Melcher (Martina), Joshua Woodruff, Gaven Woodruff, Kelly Schnarrs (David), Ken Franz, John Miller, Jacqueline Garcia (David), Steven Daino (Jenny), Michele Benham (Jay), Christopher Daino (Laura); great grandchildren -Kayli, Delaney, US Airforce Airman Reilly Gallen, Jack, Sean, Gavin, Madi, Toni, Camryn, Addison, Gia, Marissa, Will, Chloe, Lily, Macy, Devon, Tristan, Jordan, Casey, Mikayla, Tylar, US Army SPC Kelsey Yochum, US Army SPC Bryce Yochum, Cade, Julius, Nicholas, Natalie, Addison, Max, Zoey, James, Rosaly, Adriana, Rachel, Layla, Jesse, Madaline, Avery, Kylee, Maverick, Sydney, David, Bella, Livvy, Steven, Emily, Gabe, Harry, Willow, Pippa, Claire and Louis and 6 great-great grandchildren; Grayson, Beau, Cian, Finn, Kayci, and Winnie; his brother Monty Ramsey (Betty) along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many extended family members. We will be forever thankful for our angel, Shakela Jamison, thank you for your care and compassion.
Bobby was predeceased in death by his brother, US Airforce Second Lieutenant Mose Franklin Ramsey, Jr. and his sisters Delores Shurley (Vernon) and Arnelda Taylor (Louis); his grandson Michael Yochum and his son-in-law, Robert Yochum.
Services will be private for the family.
