Anthony J. Iacovelli, also known as "Vince Reed" in the Levittown area and Lower Bucks County sports community, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Aria Health Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia at the age of 76.Born in Norristown, son of the late Angeline (Carbo) and Michael Iacovelli, he was raised in Bridgeport, PA where he graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1959. He was formerly of Hagerstown, MD, prior to moving to Levittown in 1966, when he began working at WBCB of Levittown as a News and Sports Director and was a current Sports Broadcaster. "Vince" was a Racing Analyst at Parx Casino Racetrack for many years.Mr. Iacovelli was elected to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame in 2004 and to the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Bucks County Chapter, in 2010.He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Levittown and Saint Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus, Council 4215, Saint John Neumann 4th Degree Assembly. He was honored as an inductee into The Chapel of the Four Chaplains.Mr. Iacovelli was a licensed Real Estate Agent.Beloved husband of 47 years to Barbara Anne (Adelsberger), Mr. Iacovelli is the loving father of Nadine Bontempo (Stephen), Vincent M. Iacovelli (Elisabeth) and Anthony J. Iacovelli (Suzanne).He is the devoted grandfather of Nadia, Stephen, Nicholas, Sophia, Giuliana, and Vincent; and dearest brother of Virginia Pergine (Pat), Anna Mae Komorowski (Walter) and Rita Lombardo (Joseph).Mr. Iacovelli will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.He was predeceased by his siblings, Vincent Iacovelli, Rose Capoferri, Mary Scarpone and Dora Iacovelli.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Iacovelli's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
