Linda was 67 years old. Born in Wichita, Kansas, she was the younger, “by three minutes” twin sister of Lana Louise Campbell.
She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Master of Education in Mathematics degree. Linda taught math at Littlefield High School in Texas before becoming a professor of math at South Plains College in Levelland.
Linda was a long time active member of the First United Methodist Church of Levelland. She sang in the choir and had preformed many beautiful solos through the years. She was devoted to her family and had countless dear friends from teaching, church, and bingo.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Marvin L. Campbell and her sister, Lana L Campbell. Also by her grandparents John and Maggie Lindt and Clyde and Ethel Campbell, and a step niece, Amy L Campbell.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Lindt Campbell, of the home and her brother, Ken Campbell and wife Peggy of McAlester, Oklahoma. Also a niece Beverly Campbell Warren and husband Davy of Victoria, Texas. Great nieces 2nd Lieutenant Megan Frechette of Los Angeles and Molly Frechette Farris, husband Justin, and daughter Cali Louise of McAlester, Oklahoma. Step nephew Dr. Grant Campbell of Dallas and step niece Amber Campbell, Ally and Isaac of Austin, Texas.
The Memorial service will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Levelland to celebrate Linda’s life and happy reunion with her Lord and loved ones in heaven. Interment will be in Kingman, Kansas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that the music program at the First United Methodist Church of Levelland, Texas be gifted in her memory.
