Denise Francoise Taille Rodgers

Funeral Services will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland at 10:00 am on Monday, September 12, 2011 with Father Rudy Crasta officiating. Interment will follow at Whitharral Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland at 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Denise was born on July 7, 1938 in Vivione, France, the daughter of Leon and Louise (Bigot) Taille. She survived the bombing of France in World War II. She came to the United States as a Military wife. Denise became an American Citizen in 1975. Denise married Rafe Rodgers in 1986. She worked at the Levelland Nursing Home and was dedicated to caring for the res-idents of the Nursing Home. Denise was a Piano Teacher for many years. She attended the “Nutcracker Ballet” in Lubbock for several years, and attended other musicals as well. She would adopt stray dogs and cats.

She is Survived by three step-sons: Monty Rodgers, Sr. and wife, Cheri of Whitharral, Texas, Terry Rodgers of Littlefield, Texas, and Brody Rodgers of Lubbock, Texas, two brothers: Gilbert Taille and wife, Muriel of France, and Roger Taille and wife, Claudine of France, two sisters: Andree Taille of France, and Leon Maignan and husband Pierre of France, and one brother-in-law: Claude Essault of France, five grandchildren and fifteen great-greanchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Louise Taille, her husband, Rafe, and a sister, Yvette Essault.
