Charles Emmett Goble died in the hospital on April 8, 2019 in Levelland, TX of internal bleeding. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Second Baptist Church in Levelland with Pastors Michael Holster and Chris Driver officiating. Services are under the compassionate care of George Price Funeral Home.
Charles was a son of William Lee Goble and Maude Richards Goble of Waco, on November 15, 1928. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX in 1950 and then married Mary Olive Bullock.
He served in the United States Air Force in Washington, D.C. as a research and development design engineer from 1951 to 1953. His primary job was in Levelland, as Vice-President and Sales Manager at Levelland Vegetable Oil, Inc. from 1962 to 1984.
Other past beloved activities included: Travels to Europe, round and square dancing, eating at the Levelland Senior Citizens Association, and attendance at Second Baptist Church in Levelland.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings. He is survived by his three children: a son, Stephen Goble (Peggy Ingram) of Portland, OR; a daughter, Janice Powell of Levelland, TX; a son, Paul Goble (Terri) of La Quinta, CA; three grandchildren: Adam Ingram-Goble (Sinem Siyahhan); Robbie Ingram-Goble (Mary Dray); Emily Morgan Goble; two great-grandsons: Ezra William Goble and Charlie August Ocean.
