Ronald Gragg

Mr. Gragg was born in Virginia on March 24, 1937 to the late Randall and Alta Daniels Gragg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David and Scott Gragg.

He was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the North Carolina Nursery and Landscaping Association. Mr. Gragg owned and retired from North 40 Nursery.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Coffey Gragg, of the home; one son, Jeff Gragg and wife, Sherry of Lenoir, NC; four grandchildren, Allison Gragg Coffey, Ashley Gragg Byrd, Cale Gragg and Gretchen Gragg; four great grandchildren, Morgan Coffey, Trenton Coffey, William Byrd, and Heidi Byrd; two sisters, Geraldine Hollar of Lenoir, NC, and Gwendolyn Woody of Globe, NC.

A funeral service for Mr. Gragg will be held, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Johnny Shelton officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Gragg Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Doug Moss, Freddie Phillips, Mike Fitzgerald, James Ashley, David Howard, and Bryan Hollar. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold McGuire, Bobby Hamilton, and Larry and Bob Gragg.
