Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas Smith, her sisters Mildred and Darlene Ingram, her brothers Roy and Willie Ingram, and her sons Jerry Junior Beaver and Garland Lee Beaver.
Left to cherish her memory are her two brothers Arthur Ingram and Roby Ingram, her daughter Sherry Prestwood, her sons Floyd Beaver, Jerry Beaver, and Chris Beaver (wife Monica), her grandchildren Christopher Beaver, Jamie Beaver, Josh Adkins, Nick Beck, Marie Prestwood, Bruce Prestwood, and Edie Prestwood, her two great-grandchildren, and one uncle David Arnett.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Laurel Haven Cemetery, 3599 Still Meadow Way, Lenoir, NC 28645.
