She was born February 27, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late Franklin and Julia McCall Knight.
A memorial service will be held 3:30pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church with Ministers Nicky Waters, Kevin Knight, and Brian
Correll officiating. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3:30pm at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman; parents; sister, Doris Bryant; brother, Kenneth Knight.
Madeline was a member of Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Faith Martin of Lincolnton, NC; brothers, Bob Knight (Libby) and Howard Knight, both of Hudson, NC; sister, Corinne Hatley, also of Hudson, NC; one grandchild, Zachary Hall.
