Mr. Johnny Harley Bean, 71, of Lenoir entered heaven on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Amorem, formerly Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir. We are convinced his Lord and Savior immediately gave him a new body with no scars and no pain, for eternity. Mr. Bean was born July 2, 1950 in Caldwell County to the late Charlie and Zelma Rich Bean. In addition to his parents, a son, Johnny Harley Bean II, and two brothers, Colon and Richard Bean, preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Reba Killian Bean of the home, daughters, Amy Bean Hunsucker and husband Shane of Hudson, Kathy Bean Church and husband Gary of Hickory, Debbie Bean Bryant and husband Tommy of Lenoir. Brother, Charles Bean of Lenoir. Sisters, Evelyn Wike of Taylorsville, Pauline Bean and Barbara Dillard, both of Lenoir. He was also blessed with other family members and friends that loved him.
Also left to cherish his memory are his precious grandsons, Dillan Church and Jonathan Hunsucker, who love their Papa dearly.
Johnny was the greatest Tarheel fan and would only wear the correct shade of blue. He will always be honored and cherished as a loving and dedicated husband, daddy, and papa who was adored by his family. In his younger years he was a great fisherman and hunter. We are convinced that when he entered heaven, he was reunited with loved ones who took him to the most beautiful trout stream. Sometime after that, he probably found former UNC basketball coach, Dean Smith.
Services for Mr. Bean will be held privately.
