Dorothy Hawkins

Dorothy Hawkins, 87, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Caldwell County Hospice & Palliative Care – Hudson.

Mrs. Hawkins retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries after over thirty years of service in the main office and was a member of Buffalo Cove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bernard Hawkins, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James B. Hawkins, Jr. and wife Sharon; daughters, Sharon Phillips, Pam Greene and husband Dana, and Cynthia Alley and husband Larry, all of Lenoir. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Wendy Triplett Bolick and husband Marc of Lenoir, Kristen Alley Boldin and husband James of Louisiana, and Kendal Alley Bray and husband Daniel of Conover; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Bolick and Nicholas Boldin.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 am in Pendry’s Chapel with Rev. Joe Helton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held privately.
