Dora Lee Poarch Vines

Dora Lee Poarch Vines, 83, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.

Mrs. Vines was born in Caldwell County to the late Lester Lee Poarch and Nancy Estes Poarch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two son-in-laws Jerry Watson and Delane Scott.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Lloyd D. Vines of the home, her son, Dennis Lee Vines of Lenoir; daughters, Debra Watson of Lenoir and Susan Diane Scott of Lenoir; brothers, Tate Poarch and wife Dixie of Lenoir, Ned Poarch and wife Sheryl of Lowell; a sister, Elizabeth Rayle and husband Tommy of Lenoir. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Mike Issacs officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the 2p.m.service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Crump, Keith Hall, Matthew Hall, Lee Vines, John Luke Curtis and Chris Blankenship.

The family would like to thank the many employees of Lenoir Health Care for the care their mother received.
