David Lawrence Vail

David Lawrence Vail, age 78 of Buncombe County, passed away, on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Grace Hospital in Morganton. Born Sunday, September 24, 1944. Raised by the late Cecelia Amelia Zeppieri Vail and Harry E. Vail in New London Connecticut.

Mr. Vail is survived by his Brother Ramond Vail (wife Fern), Brother Roger Fincher (wife Ann), niece Kathleen Meisner (husband Kevin), nephew Ramond Vail Jr. (wife Reba), and niece Kristen Wick (Lamar). Along with a number of other nieces, nephews, friends and family. David also leaves behind Daughter Denise Scivener and was proceeded in death by his son David Lawrence Vail II.

David served in the US Air Force in the Vietnam War. He will be remembered for being a loving and caring man that would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed being the family taxi driver, providing rides to all in need. Reading, movies, fried chicken, and baking homemade bread were things you could find David doing in his spare time after visiting the Y.M.C.A

A family led memorial service will be held on Saturday July 1, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Held at 241 West Wonder Road, Leicester NC.

Inurnment will be with the family.
