Barbara Ann Benge, age 71, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Lenoir Healthcare in Lenoir. Barbara was born on October 5, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Millard Leroy and Lucy Nadine Fox Huffman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Blaine Huffman, an infant brother, Blake Huffman, a great-grandchild, Riley Nicholson and a son-in-law, Ronald David Nicholson.
Barbara was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. She cherished the time she was able to spend with each of them. Barbara loved to get her nails polished by her granddaughter. She also loved flowers, her stuffed animals and her baby dolls.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roger Wells Benge of the home and a daughter, Rebecca Nicholson of Damascus, VA. Also left to cherish her memory are her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Corey Nicholson of Mountain City, TN, Alexis Nicole Epperly of Laurel Bloomery, TN, Destiny Marie Nicholson of Damascus, Va,, great-grandchildren, LeVeah Rain Hicks of Hudson and Larryn David Nicholson of Vilas.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Bud McLean officiating.
