Ms. Myra “Beth” Williams, 89, of Leesville, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015. Ms. Williams was born on February 24, 1926 to Robert and Susan Chance in Barham, LA. Ms. Williams was a nurse for 60 years at Fort Polk, DeRidder, Leesville, and Beaumont, TX. She ended her nursing career as a Vernon Parish School Nurse of ten years. She lived in DeRidder for many years and most recently in Leesville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in DeRidder, and also a member of the Eastern Star. She leaves a legacy of nursing as well as devotion to her family.
Ms. Myra “Beth” Williams was preceded in death by her granddaughter Alyssa, two husbands, two sisters and two brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Lance LeBert and wife, Barbara, of DeRidder, LA, Tracey Williams and wife, Beverly, of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter, Myra Anderson of Leesville, LA; three grandchildren, Lane LeBert, Liberty Brady and Cody Anderson, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30th, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, LA and again on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 at 10:00 AM until time of service at the Historical Holly Grove United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Historical Holly Grove United Methodist Church in Anacoco, LA. Interment will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, LA.
