Kenneth Wayne Dowden

Services for Mr. Kenneth Wayne Dowden, 67, of Hornbeck, LA will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, LA on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Brother Mark Christian and Brother Travis Vincent will be officiating. Burial will follow in Prewitts Chapel Cemetery, Hornbeck.

Mr. Dowden went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017. He was born December 30, 1949 in Leesville, LA to Loyce David Dowden and Evie Estelle Grimes. He had attended Oak Forest Baptist Church and was currently a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville. “KW” was a loving man, married for 29 years, he always cared for others. He restored old vehicles and loved to hunt, fish, camp, and travel.

Mr. Dowden was preceded in death by his Parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane; four sons, Clyde Dowden and wife, Sharon, Greg Walsh and wife, Laura, David Dowden, and Chris Vaughn and wife, Renee; thirteen grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
