Ross Moore Bartee

Ross Moore Bartee, 51, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on August 28, 2021. Ross was a 1988 graduate of Leeds High School. He graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in political science and sociology. Ross thoroughly enjoyed working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama for over 21 years. He loved the City of Leeds and served two terms on the Leeds City Council. He was instrumental in the building of Leeds High School and Leeds Middle School. Ross was active in the Leeds Quarterback Club and was serving his second year as president.

His greatest love was his family. Ross was married to his high school sweetheart, Christy, for 26 years, and he was proudest of his daughter, Lillian Ross, and his son, Jackson Moore. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Ross is preceded in death by his parents, Hayden and Laura Bartee.

He is survived by his wife, Christy Jackson Bartee, his daughter, Lillian Ross Bartee, his son, Jackson Moore Bartee, his brother, Mitchell Lee Bartee (Rena), his nieces, Katherine Bartee, Ella Jackson, and Olivia Jackson, and nephews, Hayden Bartee and Houston Jackson.

One of his passions was helping the LHS Football team through his participation in the Leeds Quarterback Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Leeds Quarterback Club, c/o Leeds High School, 1500 Greenwave Drive, Leeds, AL 35094.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 3:00 p.m at the Church of the Highlands, Greystone Campus.
