Robert Earl Rickard

Robert Earl Rickard, 84 of Moody, Alabama and formerly of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3rd at the Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veteran’s Home in Huntsville, Alabama where he had been a resident for the past nine years. Robert was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy and was retired from both the Timken and General Electric Corporations. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia and his brother Eddie. He is survived by his sons Michael and Mark, his daughter Susan (Dale) Evely, his brother Chet (Louise), and his sisters Ruth (Eugene) Fisher, Hazel Bailey and Mary Shelton. He also leaves three grandchildren, Shelly (Chad) Tucker, Denise (Kiley) Owen, Shawn (Sherry) Andrews and three great grandchildren. Robert was a member of Whites Chapel Baptist Church in Moody. Robert was interred alongside his wife in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Leeds. The family requests that any memorials be made in the form of a donation to the Hospice of North Alabama, 3311 Bob Wallace Avenue – Suite 101, Huntsville, Alabama 35805.
