Kim Harris Ellison, aged 57, passed away on October 31, 2024, in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Born in Leeds, Alabama, Kim was known for being a beacon of kindness and humor, touching the lives of many with her quick wit and loving nature. She had many titles; “mama”, “aunt Kim”, “sweetness”, but her favorite was “Mimi”.
Kim leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Kevin Ellison; sons, Andrew (Tiffany) and Blaine Whisenhunt; daughter, Abbie Payne (Cory); and grandchildren, Harris, Baylie, Bryson, Brooks, Aubree, AJ, Evie, Riley, and Mia; siblings, Rita Uhls, Ray Harris, and Kristi Dutton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Gay and Norman Harris, and her daughter, Mallori Whisenhunt Harper.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 11:30AM until 2:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 2:00PM with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
