Richard D. Koehler, 81, of Fredericksburg, PA, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Dorothy I. Zartman Koehler who died July 14, 2010. He was born October 12, 1928 in Lebanon a son of the late Harry and Edith Koehler. He retired from Truck Stops of America in Linglestown , PA in 1991 and was former owner of pool rooms in Lebanon from 1953 to 1975. He loved to shoot pool and was an avid reader and sports fan. He especially followed the baseball St. Louis Cardinals and the football Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the Annville American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose and formerly visited social clubs in the city of Lebanon. He served in the US Army during World War II. Richard is survived by his son, Ronald Koehler of Fredericksburg and a brother, Luther Koehler of Avon. He was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Koehler Shott and Bette Koehler Fisher. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with a viewing beginning on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
