Marsha C. Grosky, 86, formerly of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Brandywine Living at Dresher Estate. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Murray Grosky and a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend.
Born on February 16, 1938, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Marsha was the daughter of the late Morris and Mae (Graff) Chaitt. She was a proud graduate of Reading High School and the Lebanon Valley College Class of 1960. Dedicated to education, she earned her teaching certificate from Albright College and began a meaningful career teaching in several school districts during the 1960s, including Sewell (NJ), Interboro, and Harrisburg.
Marsha broke barriers as the sixth woman to serve on the Lebanon School Board, a testament to her pioneering spirit and dedication to her community. She was deeply involved in the Lebanon community, lending her time and talents to numerous hospital auxiliaries, including the Lebanon County Medical Society, the Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Lebanon Valley General Hospital.
A member of Congregation Beth Israel, Marsha supported her congregation by actively serving on various boards and participating in synagogue life.
Marsha lived life with grace and enthusiasm. She had a passion for dancing, tennis, and golf, and found joy in playing cards and attending the theater and musical performances. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends, who brought her immense happiness.
Marsha is survived by her loving children, Mitch Grosky and his wife, Nicki Kenyon; Megan Grosky-McGowan and her husband, Brian; and her cherished granddaughter, Anya Grosky.
Services Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery. A second Shiva service will also take place at 4:00 PM. on Friday, December 27, at the Blue Bell Country Club Community Center, 1760 Golfview Drive, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marsha’s honor to Congregation Beth Israel or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Marsha's life was a testament to love, dedication, and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, perseverance, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
