Marian E. Blyler, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Blyler, Sr. She was born in Lebanon on May 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Russell and Priscilla Plottenberger Geesaman. She was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School where she was a drum majorette for the marching band and was a concert pianist for the choir and orchestra. She was retired from the Hotel Hershey as a Head Cashier and Hostess for the Circular Dining Room. She loved baking for her family and friends, sewing, antiquing and traveling to local attractions. She loved her Boston Terrier dogs: Abby and Sophie. A yearly highlight was her trip to visit her son Douglas and his family in Colorado. Marian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Marian is survived by son: Donald W. Blyler, Jr. and wife Mary and their children Nicole Blyler Hockley, wife of Brian Hockley and Donald W. Blyler, III; son: Douglas H. Blyler and wife Carole and their daughter Rebecca Blyler and his two sons: Matthew Blyler and wife Amy and Cory Blyler and wife Kate; son: David R. Blyler and wife Elsie and their daughter Amanda Blyler and step-children: Dennis and Denise Kane; daughter; Greta J. Blyler Spangler wife of Paul Spangler and her son Austin Hestor. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 pm in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 with the Rev. Kristal Smith officiating. There will be a time of viewing on Saturday from 12:30 pm to the time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be made in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067.
