Gary was born on October 9, 1941 in Lebanon to the late Mark and Marie Stager. He worked at the Lebanon Steel Foundry, Hershey Foods and most recently for Napa Auto Parts. Gary was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He had a soft spot for his grandchildren and cats, often getting the biggest smile when he saw one of the two. When he wasn’t assisting Betty with her yard sales, he enjoyed watching sports and movies and going to the casino. Although he was an avid, lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, he always looked forward to his yearly trip with his grandson, Erik to watch a New England Patriots playoff game. He was always the first in line to eat at get togethers and his family will miss those times greatly.
Gary is survived by his wife, Betty, two daughters, Kim Baker and her husband Rick, Lori Breisch and her husband Robert, one son, Michael, four grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Kristi and Erik, three great grandchildren, Darien, Ava and Drey, and one brother, Jon. He was preceded in death by one brother, Leon.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 9, 2020 at 6PM at Rohland Funeral home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon Pa., 17042. There will be a visitation from 5PM-6PM at the funeral home.
