Warren Lake Webb (Lake to most) of Leander, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at St. David’s Hospital Round Rock at the young age of 63. Lake was born on December 31, 1957 to Warren Neil Webb and Christine Byrd in El Paso Texas. He graduated from Zama American High School in Japan, where his dad worked for the Civil Service.
Lake settled in Austin, Tx, where he met Pamela, his wife of 21 years. After getting married, they moved to Leander, TX. Lake was father of two boys Thomas and Andrew. He was so proud of his two boys. His family meant the world to him and he meant the world to us.
Lake was the older brother to Tracie Mauthe (husband Dave of Appleton, Wisconsin) and Alexa Kennedy (husband James of Buchanan Dam, Texas). Lake was the fun uncle to 6 nieces and 7 nephews. He gave drum sets or obnoxiously noisy gifts. That all changed when his boys came around and pay back started.
Lake worked over 30 years in Route sales delivering everything from Hostess Cupcakes, Bagels, Lance Products and finally air filters. He was employed with CTM Enterprises since 2014. Although the work was hard, Lake accepted the challenge. He was a hard worker for his employer and a great provider for his family.
Lake was a big kid at heart and had a great dry sense of humor. He still watched the golden oldie cartoons on television. He still read comic books and MAD magazines. He loved shooting off fireworks, rough housing with his golden retriever, Harley and mess with his 20 year old cat, Peaches. He loved to garden, take care of friends, neighbors and family. He was never one to say no. He also loved to decorate for Halloween and Christmas holidays. The first years of living in Leander, his haunted garage was the hit of the neighborhood at Halloween. At Christmas, he went all out! He decorated the house so that it was the brightest house in the neighborhood. The house could be seen from the main intersection.
He loved to listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio and was super happy when Andrew started listening. He always said that he won’t stop until everyone agreed with him. He did not either. He loved to watch his Dallas Cowboys and yell “God Damn It Dallas” when the Cowboys messed up…which was often.
He loved and provided for his wife and children more than we knew.
Special heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St David Hospital Round Rock ICU.
