Tommy was born in Austin as the second child of seven to Glenna and Robert Patterson; who preceded him in death along with his daughter, Tammy Patterson and brother, Barry Patterson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jerri Patterson of Leander, TX; daughter, Kaci Maglich and husband Tom of Lago Vista, TX; son, Tommy Patterson Jr. and wife Cara of Spring, TX; four granddaughters and one great granddaughter; stepchildren, Jennifer Knight, and Amy Campbell and husband Jeff and their five grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Bobby, Larry, Kelley, Perry; sister, Vickie; and many nieces and nephews.
Tommy established his career as a highly regarded plumber and Chief Plumbing Inspector for the City of Austin. He later established his own plumbing company Tommy Patterson Quality Inspection (TPQI). In addition to his career, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards and/or dominoes with his family.
Per his request, his earthbound body will be reduced to ashes and later spread at the Patterson Cemetery in Westlake, TX with his family.
