Ludivina Cadena

Ludivina Perez Cadena was born July 30, 1939 in Guerrero, Tamaulipus, Mexico, the daughter of Trinidad and Irene Perez. She passed from this life October 1, 2024 in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 85. Ludivina had lived in the Austin area since 2000, moving here from Corpus Christi. She and Jose Cadena, Sr., were united in marriage on December 29, 1963 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas. Ludivina loved her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren ( and any children!) She enjoyed arts and crafts, taking walks, reading her bible and volunteering at her church. She was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and spent many hours contributing her time to the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jose Cadena, Sr; children, Jose Cadena, Jr and wife Micaela, Azalea Massey and husband Carey, and Adrian Cadena and wife Leigh; grandchildren, Alex Cadena and husband James Cromer, Jacob, Caden, Kyan and Drew Massey, Mason, Gibson, Cleigh and Leo Cadena and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5pm to 7 pm with a Rosary at 6pm at Weed-Corley Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S Bagdad Rd, Leander. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 1101 W New Hope Dr Cedar Park, Texas 78613. Interment will follow at Bagdad Cemetery, 400 N Bagdad Rd, Leander, Texas.
