Helen Ruth Welch was born in New York City on June 3, 1934. She passed from this life January 30, 2023 in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 88. Helen was always proud that she had the opportunity to work at the Empire State Building for a few years before moving to Houston where she worked for over 30 years in the Oil and Gas Industry. She retired in 1995 and moved to Austin where she truly enjoyed spending time with her family. Her other loves included reading her daily paper and keeping up with the news, especially politics. She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Welch, granddaughter, Sonia Beeson Seiwert, sisters Elaine McEvoy and Nancy, and brother Bobby Jones. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Mary Welch, sister, Marilyn Baldwin, great-grandsons, Jim Beeson and wife Cassie, Aaron Beeson and wife Darryon, Adam Rico, six great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Helen was much loved by all and will be missed every day.
