Steven Allen Carter, age 75, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Steven was born on March 7th, 1949 to the late John “Tiny” Carter and Lucille Allen Lyons. He worked for many years at Murray Ohio, he would later go on to be a truck driver and would retire as a school bus driver for the Lawrence County School System.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Carter; brothers, John Carter, Roger Carter, and Kenneth Carter; step son, Michael Shelton; nephew, Jason Carter.
He is survived by his children, Scott Carter (Marilyn), April Prince (Randy), Michael Carter (Jessica), and Josh Carter (Kenda); grandchildren, Madilyn Carter, Ethan Prince, Maggie Prince, Tyler Carter, Breanna Carter, Bailey Carter, Jocelyn Carter, Cora Carter, Daniel Carter, Owen Carter, and Kaleb Shelton; great granddaughter, Ava Mae Carter.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
