Matthew Scott Tatum, age 37, of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Waynesboro, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at his residence in Chattanooga. He was of Baptist faith and through his faith, he would often volunteer his time tending to the needs of others and people in unfortunate circumstances. In his spare time, he loved listening to music, spending time on social media, taking care of his pets, and enjoying time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, Claude and Annie Staggs.
He is survived by his Mother, Kathy Smith; Brother, Joshua Tatum; Nephew, Bently Tatum; Niece, Baily Tatum; Grandmother, Bonnie Smith; Uncle, Roger Smith; A host of friends and extended family.
The Visitation for Matthew will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Monday, December 11th, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Brother Barry Kidwell will be officiating.
Inurnment Service will be held at Walker Cemetery in Clifton, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue center of your choice.
