William Dennis Kelly, 78 years old, passed away on April 26, 2022. Bill was a true native Nevadan, born in Henderson, NV on June 9, 1943. As a heavy equipment operator in Las Vegas for many, many years, he left his imprint on this town with expert ditch-digging on several high-profile projects. Drive any street in the Vegas Valley and he probably dug there. Over the years, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking, and of course he loved watching and going to baseball games and reading. He always had a project or two going, loved to be outside, and ready and willing to help whoever would call on him.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Lynn Kelly, stepdaughter Cherie Ann Thomas, sister Lari Lynn Davis, brother Michael Kelly, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several extended family members who will dearly miss him, his smile and his stories.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Reception for family and friends to follow.
