William F. Cleghorn, born December 27, 1931 in Las Animas, Colorado, died December 17, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. He was a resident of Las Vegas since 1961. He was an Eagle Scout and a U.S. Marine combat veteran of the War in Korea. A member of the Marine Corps Association, The 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps League, The Veterans of Foreign Wars CVFW, Former President of I.G.A.N., Local 1 of the security officers at the Nevada Test Site. Retired after 25 years as a security officer. Survivors include two sons, Michael Joe of Las Vegas, Monte of Colorado, one granddaughter, eight grandsons and four great granddaughters. Preceded in death by two sons, Ronald in 2001 and in 1954, Thomas who died in infancy. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 with funeral service following at 11:00 at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 N Main St., Las Vegas, NV. Burial in Las Animas, Colorado.
