Thomas F Curtis passed away on November 22, 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Thomas was born in Las Vegas on February 19, 1954 to Jerry and Gwen Curtis. He was the youngest of three children. Tom is survived by his two sons: Steven and Anthony Curtis of Lake Forest, California; along with their mother Martha Curtis.
Tom is also survived by his sisters: Lynda Fleming of Mt. Charleston, Nevada and Diane Mannschreck of Aguanga, California; along with his step brother: Eric Grijalva, step sister: Karen Vogt, and way too many to count loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Tom’s life was devoted to volunteering in his community and he was the recipient of numerous awards. He spent thousands of hours with the Metro Police Volunteers and the US Forest Service. One of his proudest moments was receiving a certificate of merit from Governor Brian Sandoval.
There will be a Memorial Service for Tom at Palm Northwest Mortuary at 6701 N. Jones Blvd. on Saturday November 29 at 12:00 pm.
