Susan Agnes Belin Zirzow rose into the arms of our Holy Father on May 24, 2018. Born in Clearfield, PA on October 10, 1945 to Carl and Margaret Danneker Belin. She is survived by siblings Carl Belin of Clearfield, PA, Margaret Shearer of Clearfield, Barbara Fahey of Pittsburgh, PA, Molly Quinn of Littleton, CO, and Sally Belin of Denver, CO. An older sister MaryKay McCooey and younger brother Michael are deceased. She was a graduate of Villa Maria College in Erie, PA and moved to Cleveland, OH after graduation to begin a teaching career. Susan met a newly returned Army veteran, and married him on December 13, 1968, her husband of 49 years Mark C. Zirzow of Bay Village, Ohio who asked her to marry him on their first date. Two sons were born, Mark C. Zirzow, Jr. and Mathew C. Zirzow both of Las Vegas. Susan was very proud of her boys, and accepted compliments only on her sons. Criticism not allowed.
Susan, known by all as Suzie, was known for her open and generous personality who was quick to engage both friend and stranger alike in conversation making a friend of all she met. She was a favorite among the twenty nieces and nephews at her family gatherings. She had a reputation for interior design which she put to good use as she and her husband moved nine times over their marriage as her husband rose through the corporate ranks and eventually to be closer to her sons. Due largely to her talents, her designs and houses became sought after properties when they appeared on the market often selling on the first day. She also used her artistic and design skills making jewelry which was often gifted to others.
Suzie was proud of achieving 100 miles in hiking in 100 days with the Sun City Anthem Hiking Club which she accomplished last year as a new hiker. She had to drop out of hiking because of a bout with cancer. True to her style she fought and won her two year battle with the cancer.
Suzie was beloved by all and will be missed by family and friends alike.
