Delbert (Sonny) Gibbs, age 92, passed away on April 4, 2025. Delbert was born in Las Vegas, NV on April 14, 1932 to Bert and Celia Gibbs. He was a lifetime resident of Las Vegas and saw so much change in his hometown. Cecilia
He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Rollie and Fred, and son Jimmy D.
Gibbs. Delbert is survived by his wife Patricia of 68 years, sons Steven (spouse Evelyn), Scott (partner Cheryl), and John (spouse Jane), seven granddaughters, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great granddaughters.
Delbert spent four years in the USAF and was an employee with the Nevada Power Company for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, his electric train collection, and family. Everyone that knew him knows that the more he teased you, then the more he liked you.
