Senior Federal Air Marshal Shawn Hennessee, of the Las Vegas Field Office, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 after contracting COVID-19. FAM Hennessee joined the Federal Air Marshal Service in October 2002, after serving 13 years in the United States Air Force.
The Federal Air Marshal Service deploys Federal Air Marshals (FAMs) on U.S. aircraft world-wide and conducts protection, response, detection and assessment activities in airports and other transportation systems. FAMs are an elite team of armed federal law enforcement officers deployed on passenger flights worldwide to ensure safe travels and protect airline passengers and crew against criminal and terrorist violence.
FAM Hennessee is survived by his wife Tracy, his brother Andy and sister Casey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Central Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson, NV 89011.
