Sarah S. Mazar

Born on July 22, 1954 in Farmington, NM. She was the first child of Ralph and Wilda Smith. She had three younger siblings, Susan Louise, Sherry Lynn, and Lila Marie. She grew up in the outskirts of town and she LOVED running through the hills, horseback riding, skiing, water skiing, and playing softball. She attended Farmington High, Go Scorpions! She loves high desert terrain and southwest jewelry! She was significantly shorter than her sisters, and hated it!

She graduated in 1972 and then went to Snow College in Ephraim, where her mom went. In 1974 she transferred to Utah State and roomed with her sister Sherry. Everyone called her little sarge because she was such a rule follower.

After college, she moved back to Farmington and went to work for Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM). While playing on the PNM softball team, she hurt her knee at the age of 23 and affectionately became the gimp. Later, at (PNM), she met Dale Charles Mazar. She always said that the moment he walked through the door, she knew he was the one. They were married June 12, 1982 and truly share an eternal love.

She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Smith. She is survived by her loving husband Dale Mazar and her children Katie Kley (Daniel Kley), Chelsea Jugler (Tanner Jugler), and Dustin Mazar (Kristin Mazar). She has six grandchildren: Zane, Quill, and Mazie Jugler, Maverick, Levi, and Madison Mazar.

The service will be March, 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 3200 N Mustang, Las Vegas, NV 89108.

Interment, Bunker Memory Gardens March 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. 7251 West Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
