Ruth Elaine Loupe’ was born on June 18, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska and departed this life peacefully on September 25, 2016 surrounded by 3 generations of the Loupe’ family. She was raised in Los Angeles, California by her mother, Vivian, and step-father Paul Bradley. Ruth graduated from Poly High School in 1942. In 1944, Ruth married Stanley D. Loupe,’ Jr. with whom she raised four sons: Milton, Stanley III, Marc and Jean Louis. Stanley, Jr. predeceased her in 2000 after 56 years of marriage and Jean Louis predeceased her in August 2016 Ruth received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Administration and Master of Arts degree in Public Administration (1978) from California State University Dominguez Hills. Professionally, she served as an administrator in the Los Angeles Unified School District until her retirement. Ruth Elaine Loupe’s life exemplified elegance, charm, grace and intellectual prowess. Family was her passion. She was an avid bridge player, consummate hostess, loved NPR and was a world class shopper. Ruth demonstrated her devotion to Catholicism via faithful service at Ascension, St. Albert’s and St. Joseph of Mary churches and schools. She will be missed by many and will remain in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to have known her. She is survived by 3 sons, Milton, Stanley III and Marc; their wives, Debbie, Barbara and Anette, respectively; surrogate daughter Dellis Redding; grandchildren, Kimberly, Antoinette, Sean (and wife Queen), Seimone, Lauren, Miles and Matthew (and wife Jacqueline); great-grandchildren, Dillon, Christopher, Olivia, Sean, Jr., Kimmani, Devon and Cassius; and a host of family and friends.
