Robert Quentin Whaley (Bob), 89, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. He was born October 20, 1926 to Velva and Kermit Whaley in Brook, Indiana. He was a resident of Las Vegas for 26 years and prior to that he worked and raised his family in Boulder, Colorado, residing there for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from IBM. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Maurice (Maury) and his sister, JoAnne Weston. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Christine; children Mark and his wife Donna, Kurt and his wife Linda and Judy Chambers (also a Las Vegas resident), 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Bob gave his life to his family and will be greatly missed by each of them.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123 at 11 AM Wednesday April 6, 2016.
