Robert Villaverde, 74, of North Las Vegas, passed away on September 2, 2024 in North Las Vegas. Robert was born in Phoenix on March 11, 1950. He went to school in San Diego. He was a Vietnam Veteran, served in the Army, and was awarded numerous medals. He graduated from San Diego State University. He married Paula Villaverde on October 14, 1978 in San Diego. He worked in communications for many years. He and Paula moved to Hawai’i in 1989 and lived there for 34 years before moving to North Las Vegas in 2021. He was involved in Summit Ridge Church and invested in the lives of all people that crossed his path.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Paula and his loving family.
Robert lived a life full of joy and love. He had a vast knowledge of everything. Robert enjoyed sports, music, collectibles, cars, fixing just about anything, and so much more. He always used his knowledge and experience to help others. He was passionate about people and simply enjoying life. Robert’s view on life resulted in his contagious smile and laugh. It was impossible to be around him and not have your heart overflowed with joy. He loved so many and had more than enough space in his heart for everyone. Robert was truly larger than life. Although he will be dearly missed, his family is at peace knowing that he is in Heaven. Because to be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord.
