Robert (“Bob”) Allen Mervyn of Taylor, Michigan, was born December 25, 1949 to William and Josephine (Leopard) Mervyn. Bob was the youngest of eight children. Graduated from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan and went on to Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Bob was married to Vicki (Williams) Mervyn for 21 years; He is the father of Lori Mervyn of Wayne, Michigan, Joy (David) Brown of Milan, Michigan, Guy (Leah) Mervyn of Borger, Texas, and Samantha Mervyn of Taylor, Michigan. Grandfather, better known as “Pops,” to Ronnie, Marcelyn, Troy, Amelia, Loralei, and Robert “Foster”. Bob was a dedicated fan of Lions Football, Detroit Tigers Baseball, and University of Michigan Football. Bob loved to play games with family and friends, whether it be Dominoes, Euchre, Monopoly, Skip-Bo, etc., Bob enjoyed the time and the competition. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton, Michigan. Preceded in death by his parents William and Josephine, and his brothers: William Mervyn, Richard Mervyn, Raymond Mervyn, and Duane Mervyn. Survived by his brothers: Francis Mervyn and Warren Mervyn and sister, Nancy Martinez, as well as many nephews, nieces, and life-long friends. Bob’s smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
