Robert “Bobby” Amira, 69, a retired CEO of Robar Enterprises and vice president of the Dunes Hotel, passed away on Thursday March 26, 2015. He was born on July 23, 1945 in the Bronx, NY to Charles and Ruth (nee Gantz) Amira. He was a Las Vegas resident since 1975. Bobby served in the U.S. Army Reserve during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Vicki “Goldie” Amira (nee Stein); two sons, Brian (Svetlana) of Las Vegas and Michael of Tempe, AZ; three stepchildren, Brittany Hoppe of Reno, NV, Ashley Hoppe Las Vegas, NV, and Travis (Cara) Hoppe of Rockville, MD; sister, Carol (John) Bates of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Amira and Atticus Amira; and two step-grandchildren, Hazel Hoppe and Jackson Frederick Hoppe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday April 3, 2015 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Cemetery. Family requests that memorial donations in Bobby’s name be sent to charity of choice. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
